Proud of achieving standard
ApplusRTD has become the first company in the UK to receive a new safety award.
ApplusRTD has been awarded accreditation to British Safety standard OHSAS 18001:2007.
The firm's health, safety, environment and quality manager, Jack Gillespie, said: "We are very proud of everyone's involvement in the accreditation of this standard. To be the first in the UK is obviously a major accomplishment but, more importantly, the award demonstrates our absolute commitment to safety and to achieving the highest levels of performance in health and safety management across the company."
It employs 450-plus staff in Aberdeen, Falkirk, Stockton and Great Yarmouth and provides engineering, inspection management, specialist techniques, rope access and non-destructive testing services to the oil and gas, petrochemical, utility and power-generation industries.
