Corrosion Management System
Applus RTD operates the Credo inspection and corrosion database system.
This is designed for the Oil, Gas, Chemical and Process industries. The software runs on all MS-Windows environments and works in both standalone and client-server modes.
Credo is designed to manage all elements of pressure systems such as piping, vessels and tanks. Standard data sheets cover all aspects of design and operating information. The user can even extend and modify data entry with local expressions, terms, descriptions and data sheets.
The system interfaces with a number of ultrasonic instruments to download or even exchange data. These include multiple sets of measurement points, comments and stored A-Scan signals. Instrument configuration settings are captured automatically and stored with the thickness readings.
Applus RTD has experience with this system on several sites and find it is easy to use and productive. The system includes planning tools for inspections and covers a wide range of inspection methods and equipment.
Credo incorporates a Risk Based Inspection module.This allows inspection planning work based on the probability and consequence of failure. The model combines both qualatative and quantitative variables and is programmable. This allows it to be configured for a specific site or corporate RBI methodology.
Information gathered with Credo is readily accessible with a variety of filters, plots and reports available.These include statistical and trend analysis.
Built-in industry standard formulae calculate minimum wall-thickness values. The system allows the user to validate calculations and display wall thickness calculations at different pressures.
Advanced users can make use of the standard (SQL) relational database structure. This allows great flexibility in accessing and using the inspection data.
